Ingredients of Quick Vegetable Fried Rice

  1. You need 1 cup of Basmati Rice.
  2. It's 1 of long carrot - Finely chopped.
  3. You need 1-2 stalks of celery - Finely chopped.
  4. You need 1-2 of spring onion (Scallions)- Finely chopped.
  5. Prepare 1/2 cup of green peas(fresh or frozen).
  6. You need 2 tbsp of Soy sauce.
  7. You need 1/4 tsp of sugar.
  8. It's 1/4 tsp of pepper powder.
  9. Prepare 1 tsp of chopped garlic.
  10. Prepare 2 tbsp of any kind of vegetable oil.

Quick Vegetable Fried Rice instructions

  1. Pour 2 cups of water in a pot .Bring it to boil ,then add 1 cup of basmati rice and chopped carrot pieces into it .You could also add green peas into it if it is not already cooked . I used frozen,so I didn't cook .Wait till rice and carrot becomes half cooked and add 1/4 tsp of salt . When everything is almost cooked turn off the heat and drain the water from it and keep it aside..
  2. In a pan pour 2 tbsp of refined oil .When it becomes hot ,add chopped garlic and saute a little bit .Add chopped veggies (celery , spring onion ,green peas) and saute it for another minute.
  3. Add pepper powder , soy sauce , little bit sugar(a pinch) and mix everything well ..
  4. Add the cooked rice, carrot mixture and mix well . Taste it and add salt if needed..
  5. You can also use other veggies like bell peppers here if you like..
  6. Serve hot with tomato sauce..
